Ang sabi ng mga ka tropa ko ng mga tambay, tricycle driver, seaman, bankero, abogado at doctor at pati lamok, ‘Habang lumalalim ang gabi, lalong sumasarap ang inuman at pulutan.‘

Well, it really is true, figuratively and literally.

Literally, in the sense that the longer you stay and drink, the level of alcohol goes higher.

Figuratively, in the sense that the more alcohol you have in your system, the more your senses become numb and thus, even if you are drinking the worst kind of liquor, at kahit rubbing alcohol, everything tastes great, lalong sumasarap.

And the longer the drinking session becomes, the more it turns out to be fun, loud and noisy, the more neighbors you are pissing off especially the wives and their pet dogs. If you are lucky, they will just ignore you but most often than not, you will have an uninvited guest, mr pulis patola knocking at your gate.
